Note to our readers

Throughout this website, Hindu terminology in the Sanskrut (Sanskrit) language is translated into English and the Sanskrut term is given in brackets () and italics, next to its English translation.

We have used two types of spellings for the Sanskrut terms:

• the conventional/popular non-phonetic spellings and

• the phonetic spellings that reflect the word as per its pronunciation 

For example, the word साधना is spelt either with the conventional spelling sādhanā or the phonetic spelling saadhanaa. The phonetic spellings are given from time to time, to enable our readers to learn the accurate Sanskrut pronunciation.
