The most superior Guru-disciple tradition!

A seeker doing spiritual practice as per Gurukrupayog received divine knowledge and she had following conversation within herself, with the teaching principle of God (Gurutattva)

Seeker: Why is the Guru-disciple relationship superior to other spiritual relationships?

Sri Gurutattva: You mean to ask, 'Why is the relationship between the Guru and disciple not equal to the one between God and His devotee?'

Seeker: Yes. (She was surprised that the Gurutattva knew exactly what her question was, even though she hesitated to ask it directly.)

Sri Gurutattva: Because in order to become a devotee, the embodied soul (jiva) has to go through the process of becoming a seeker and then a disciple. When the disciple progresses, only then is he counted as a 'true disciple' and in fact does become one.

[The word devotee is used in the general sense for anyone who worships God. Such a devotee cannot be equated with the 'true devotee' that the disciple evolves into, after a higher level of spiritual practice. The disciple who does spiritual practice as per Gurukrupayog is superior to the devotee (word used in a general sense) of a deity.]

A disciple is far ahead in spiritual level than a general devotee, for the following reasons:

Sri Gurutattva: How many devotees do you see in present times, who are like the Saints who were great devotees of God? On the other hand, compare this with how many disciples have already become Saints under H.H. Dr. Athavale's (the founder of FHA) guidance in present times. This answers the question.

Seeker: In the table, is the example given of a Disciple applicable to the disciples of various Gurus and paths of spiritual practice or only to those doing sadhana as per Gurukrupayog?

The Only accurate and consistent Path!

Sri Gurutattva: The Gurutattva bestows knowledge to the seekers of H.H. Dr. Athavale because :

1. In the current times only Gurukrupayog follows the Guru-disciple tradition accurately and consistently.

2. Only H.H. Dr. Athavale guides and facilitates His seekers to derive knowledge directly from the God or Guru principle. Other Guru's receive knowledge themselves and then pass it on to their followers.

H.H. Dr. Athavale is the only Guru who facilitates His seekers to receive Divine Knowledge and hence the word 'disciple' here pertains only to seekers with H.H. Dr. Athavale.

Seeker : Also in the table, it is said that 'A true Guru has a limited number of disciples', but H.H. Dr. Athavale has so many seekers; does that mean only a few are disciples and the rest are only seekers?

Sri Gurutattva : Majority are still at the stage of being just workers or activists; some are seekers and some are disciples. H.H. Dr. Athavale is not interested in the number of disciples, but in their quality. He teaches His disciples just like the parents teach their children. Other Gurus like to have disciples, both in numbers and quality. Hence, the Guru principle has called Him a 'true Guru'.
