  • Campaigns : In the month of March (Phalgun) 2014, Forum for Hindu Awakening initiated 3 campaigns which received good responses from devout Hindus.

    • Protest against denigration of Hindu Deities on clothes and shoes by designer Isabel : FHA initiated a campaign against a denigration of Hindu Deities by fashion designer Isabel Simpson-Kirsch of Nashville, Tennessee, USA. In her senior thesis, fashion designer Isabel used images of sacred and revered Hindu Gods and Goddesses on clothing and shoes. Also the Hindu Deities’ pictures were distorted by replacing the faces with the face of Lil B (Brandon McCartney, known by his stage name Lil B or The Based God, is an American rapper and author from Berkeley, California). Over 65 Hindu Dharma supporters protested by signing the email campaign initiated by FHA.

    • Protest against AAS’ choice of Wendy Doniger as keynote speaker at 2014 annual conference : The Association for Asian Studies (AAS) had invited anti-Hindu writer Wendy Doniger to deliver the keynote address at the 2014 annual conference of AAS. Wendy Doniger’s book, “The Hindus – An alternative History” which insults Hindu Deities and practices, was recently withdrawn by publisher Penguin, following a law-suit by Dharmabhimani Hindus. FHA appealed to Dharmabhimani Hindus worldwide to protest against this decision of AAS to invite the controversial figure at its annual conference.  Over 100 Hindu Dharma supporters signed FHA’s email campaign and many more sent emails to AAS protesting the decision.

    • Protest against video on Youtube denigrating sacred Hindu Deities, and Yoga : FHA received complaints from several Hindus about the denigration of Hindu Deities, Dharma practices and Yoga on YouTube. Now days, it has become a trend to denigrate Hindu Deities and Hindus religious practices. Understandably, one devout Hindu has written to Emmanuel Lokonga who posted these videos on YouTube, bringing to their attention, the anti-Hindu nature of this denigration and that is hurting the religious sentiments of the devotees of Deity Shiva, the practitioners of Yoga, and millions of Hindus. However, the video is not removed even after multiple communications. FHA initiated a protest appealing to devout Hindus to flag the videos on YouTube so that these vides are removed from YouTube site.

  • Following comment was posted on the article page “Message of H. H. Dr. Jayant Balaji Athavale on the occasion of Hindu New Year “- ‘Tears of joy roll down when I watch Hindus at various levels; individuals & organizations slowly but steadily coming together. Only Dharmic shashtras of Bharatham and their off-shoots can save the world because all other religions have only divided the human race into warring sects fighting for the ownership of THE DIVINE. In this direction, your efforts to awaken the collective Hindu consciousness are commendable! ‘ - A Dharmabhimani (vavamenon)
