The important and requisite components for the shrāadha ritual are darbha, Bhrungaraj leaf, tulsī, black sesame, white rice, barley, honey, black gram, white fragrant flowers etc. Red coloured flowers are forbidden in the shraadha ritual as destroyer frequencies are emitted from them.
